A Letter from Our Social Workers

A Letter from Our Social Workers

Dearest Caregivers,

We hope that you are all healthy and well! Please know that the LIAD Center is here for you as much as we can be. Do not hesitate to email our social workers or call the LIAD Center at 516-767-6856 to get in touch with us. Please know that we have been thinking of all of you during this difficult time, having to stay indoors.

If you are in need of emergency shelf-stable food, please reach out so we can assist in coordinating Nassau County Office for the Aging food services. There is no shame in asking for help during this time, and we are happy to serve you in any way that we can!

If you are a caregiver and not in our Day Program or In-Home Respite service, and need extra support during the day, please provide us your phone number and we will call to check-in every few days. Also, stay tuned for upcoming telephonic support groups!

Starting on Friday, March 20th we will be conducting some activities and programming on Facebook Live! Find us at the Long Island Alzheimer's and Dementia Center on Facebook to participate. If you don't have a Facebook account, now may be a great time! If you need assistance with this, call us at 516-767-6856.

Be well, stay healthy, and reach out for help if you need. The LIAD Center is here for you every step of the way.

Sincerely,

The LIAD Center’s Social Workers
