Our mission is to help improve the quality of life for diagnosed individuals and caregivers living with Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementias. For 30+ years the Long Island Alzheimer’s & Dementia (LIAD) Center has been committed to the belief that there is life worth living after a diagnosis. Our hands-on services include stage-specific day programs, one-on-one counseling, support groups, in-home respite, CEU trainings, educational programs, and so much more.


$10/month - help our staff meet families on Zoom for virtual counseling sessions and stimulation

$25/month - help cover thcosts of our virtual one-on-one counseling service

$50/month - provide  a week of door-to-door bus transportation for one family

$100/month - provide our staff with program tools, including craft supplies, tablets, PPE and more
