Event Partnerships - Long Island Alzheimer's and Dementia Center

Event Partnerships

Signature Events

The Long Island Alzheimer’s and Dementia (LIAD) Center hosts three signature events throughout the year with a goal of overall fundraising, raising awareness about the LIAD Center’s programs, collaborating with local businesses in an effort to partner as well as many other sponsorship opportunities.

All events include raffles, networking, industry and impactful honorees, and many sponsorship opportunities. Our Here’s To Hope Luncheon is a wonderful afternoon with boutique shopping & a live fashion show. Our Golf Classic includes 18 holes, contests, and a thrilling live auction. The Cocktails & Casino Night brings authentic casino dealers, games such as roulette and blackjack, and live DJ.

Third-Party Fundraisers

As a 501c3, we rely on our passionate community to support families living with dementia and our hands-on mission. A third-party fundraiser is when that passion is transformed into a campaign that can help the LIAD Center continue its impact.

Sports Events

Whether it is a little league game or pickleball lesson, your athletic community can also serve as a network of support. For example, the Alzheimer’s All-Star Basketball Classic is a fundraising competition featuring boy and girl all-star games and competitions with the best high school players in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. Founded in 2010 in memory of his father who had Alzheimer’s disease, Gordon Thomas now educates his basketball community of the disease and the LIAD Center’s unique care.

Passion Project

What you consider a hobby can actually be a fundraiser! Enjoy crocheting? Share your work with others to turn proceeds into donations. Good at making tasty treats? Host a bake sale. Have a passion for running? Inspire others with your dedication and stamina. The Ann Asparro Run is an annual campaign hosted by Jay Asparro in memory of his grandmother. Each year Jay hits the concrete with a new goal, and since 2016 he has raised over $100,000 and stretched his reach from county-wide to international!

Networking Event

Your industry might not be the only thing you have in common with your networking group. Many professionals are passionate about giving back to the community. Hosting a business meet-and-greet event or dedicating your group’s end-of-year party to a worthy cause are easy ways to raise funds and awareness. With the LIAD Center, not only will your groups' impact be hands-on, but also benefit a local grassroots nonprofit.

Mitzvah / Confirmation Project

A Bar/Bat Mitzvah or Confirmation celebration is one of a family's most joyous occasions. Dedicate this meaningful milestone towards making an impact with the LIAD Center. By working with our development team, we can help create your own fundraising website to collect online donations and help promote your project.

Club Project

Are you a high school or college student? Are you passionate about making a difference? Join other young philanthropists who share your passion for good. Expand your network, grow your resume, learn about the nonprofit sector, make new friends, and most of all, make an impact in your own backyard with the LIAD Center! We have collaborated with Girl/Boy Scouts, KEY Clubs, and capstone classes to grow our intergenerational programming.

CEU Program

Every practicing LMSW and LCSW is required to receive continuing education to maintain a New York State license. In achieving our mission to improve quality of life for those living with dementia, the LIAD Center recognizes the importance of supporting professionals that help guide and serve our community. Each year we offer a series of CEU seminars to health professionals discussing innovative and relevant topics. Sponsoring a CEU program includes a presentation to attendees, marketing distribution, and digital business promotion.
